IntelliSkin is a protective sleeve featuring GDS Technology for the Apple iPad Pro 12.9” 3rd Gen with military-grade drop protection. An integrated attachment slot on the right allows you to secure your Apple Pencil. The IntelliSkin sleeve’s integrated GDS connector is molded directly into the skin, preventing damage to your device’s charging port from repetitious docking. Eighteen molded ruggedized docking contacts on the exterior of the skin are also designed for repetitive docking in field applications. This version of IntelliSkin is compatible with a variety of USB Type-C GDS Docks and accessories that allow for charging and data syncing.

  • Q: Does the GDS® connector and docking contacts that provide charging and data sync capabilities include HDMI video pass through when connecting the iPad to an HDMI display device using the Apple USB-C to HDMI adapter?
    A: Yes, this has just been tested and verified. The Apple USB-C to HDMI adapter is compatibible with the Power and Data Sync dock, RAM-GDS-DOCKL-V2-AP24U. However, when using this adapter alone there will be no power source to the iPad. If you are looking to run power and HDMI through the iPad simultaneously, you can use our GDS Hub RAM-GDS-HUB-TYPEC-02, along with a Power Delivery charger and USB Type-C 3.0. The USB 2.0 cable that comes with the iPad will not provide sufficient power when using any hub or HDMI adapter.

    The GDS Power Delivery wall charger option is RAM-GDS-CHARGE-USBC2W, and the GDS USB Type-C 3.1 cable option is RAM-GDS-CAB-USBC-CMCMU
